About Wild Florida Adventure Park

About Wild Florida Adventure Park

Founded in 2010 on private property bordering the scenic shores of Lake Cypress, the park was established to preserve and showcase a portion of the Central Florida Everglades headwaters. The founders aimed to build an attraction that felt like a throwback to old Florida, giving both residents and tourists a break from traditional theme parks to view local wildlife in its native setting. Over the years, the venue has grown significantly from its initial airboat roots, expanding its layout to incorporate dedicated conservation spaces, interactive animal educational areas, and a massive acreage designed for free-roaming exotic species.

  • Today, the park stands as a comprehensive 300-acre wildlife destination structured around three primary experiences: riding, walking, and driving. Guests can skim across protected marshlands on high-speed airboats, navigate a 170-acre self-drive safari trail filled with roaming international herds, or explore the boardwalks of the Gator Park to see native predators and rare albino alligators. By combining thrills with hands-on educational presentations, the park provides a full-day, family-friendly environment that emphasizes environmental stewardship and the protection of vulnerable animal habitats.

These excursions take you deep into 100,000 acres of pristine swamps, marshes, and rivers to observe native wildlife like alligators, eagles, and ospreys in their natural habitat. Tours run throughout the day, with private night safaris available for those who want to see the swamp come alive after dark.

Expansive Drive-Thru Safari Park

Explore a four-mile trail winding through 170 acres of untouched Florida landscape from the comfort of your own vehicle. This self-drive terrain allows you to view more than 150 free-roaming exotic and native animals, including bison, zebras, wildebeest, and watusi. Admission allows you to complete the driving loop as many times as you like during a single day.

The Gator Park Experience

Every safari or airboat ticket includes complimentary access to the walk-through Gator Park, home to more than 200 native and exotic animals. Visitors can walk along ground-level paths and boardwalks to see tropical birds, lemurs, bobcats, and massive alligators. The park also hosts educational wildlife presentations and live gator feeding demonstrations throughout the day.

Interactive Animal Encounters

Go behind the scenes with expert animal educators for up-close interactions that go beyond a standard zoo visit. Dedicated interactive programs allow you to hand-feed giraffes on an elevated platform, pet social capybaras, or step inside the enclosures of two-toed sloths. Because guest counts are strictly limited per session, these popular encounters require advance reservations.

Focus on Conservation and Rescue

A visit supports a facility deeply committed to wildlife education and the preservation of Central Florida’s natural resources. Many of the residents are rescued animals that cannot be safely released back into the wild, including nuisance alligators relocated by state authorities. The park provides these animals with a permanent, protected environment while teaching the public about ecosystem preservation.
